How Does Botox Work?

Botox works by temporarily relaxing specific muscles. When injected, it takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to bind to the nerve and 2-10 days to show its full effect. This muscle relaxation can last anywhere from 3-6 months, sometimes longer.

For wrinkle reduction, Botox targets the repetitive creasing and folding of skin caused by underlying muscles. By relaxing these muscles, it allows the skin to recover its natural smoothness.
